LOVE PAKISTAN…….AMAN KI ASHA- an INDO-PAK PEACE PROJECT

For me, actually, I couldn’t pick up the most absurd news in 2009; not that there weren’t any but I found it difficult to pick a single one. But it wasn’t difficult foe me to pick the most absurd news in 2010 and the best part is it came on the first day of the year.

I rubbed my sleepy eyes and opened the door of my house as early as 6.15am in the winter chill only to find the front page of the leading daily The Times of India as “LOVE PAKISTAN………AMAN KI ASHA – an INDO-PAK PEACE PROJECT”. What absurdity is this ?

Now the sleep was gone. How many times we need to learn the same lesson and how many times we need to know that we were betrayed and will be betrayed in future.

The best part of the advertisement was that it had so superbly coined words which were so soothing that it could even change an angry bull. But sorry guys, I am not ready to change and I am not able to forget what happened on 26/11. I had had enough and I wish that terror attack to be the last one made on India. Again the ad says it is a new people-to-people initiative by The Times of India and Pakistan’s Jang (Oh ! sorry I read it as Jung-‘war’) Group.

The advertisement says that it is easier to say ‘hi’ than to say ‘sorry’ perhaps it’s too lengthy. But it requires courage to say ‘sorry’ and admit their mistake. Neighbours for over 60 years donot require socialising hellos but sincerity in the their apology to resume the broken path of cooperation.

But why do we need their cooperation ? Why can’t we prosper without  depending on them ? I thought that TOI was doing wonderful job with initiatives like ‘save the girl chid’ and ‘Teach India’; but why do they take up unnecessary things ? Again, the article showed some stats which were based on some kind of survey done in 6 cities. the survey came to me or my city. Nobody asked me anything.

Now its for you people to say whether you want such a peace project after reading this, incase, if you forgot what happened on 26/11 and other incidents which were carried out by their non-state actors.

TIGER WOODS….. a human being atlast

I had never thought TIGER WOODS to come to such a situation in life. I had thought that he was never a human but, a super natural talent. Thanks GOD the myth is broken.

The problem with me was that I couldn’t consider Tiger as superhuman. But he was when he was on the field. I could never understand how did he mould himself into such a precision. But the list of allegeded mistresses unfolding….I find myself at peace and moreover I am happy for Tiger that ….atlast he is also human himself. I am happy that now the general public will start considering him as a human which he might have wanted long ago when the people aropund the world started crediting him with supernatural status. Yes, we should understand that he too is a human being with all kind of desires and feelings. But yes, the feelings should be shown in a controllable manner and should not potray YOU as SEX-ADDICT.

But yes, the complete golf fraternity would miss THE TIGER for sometime……………………………….

VOLKSWAGEN BEATLE now in AHMEDABAD….

Guys,

I spotted a new Volkswagen Beatle in Ahmedabad and some pics. But it has come to India only in December and the delivery hasn’t started yet. Thought I could share with you all.

Howz it !!!

26/11/2008 Vs 26/11/2009

Friends,

I thought I would have an analysis of the most dreaded terror attack on Mumbai on 26/11/2008 and 26/11/2009 which is exactly one year after the attacks(the first anniversary of attacks).

26/11/2009

Not need to say much on this day as we had witnessed and some had undergone the trauma associated with the attacks. Every Indian was hurt on that day and people’s anguish spreaded on to the streets. But I wish to take a much closer look on the D-Day one year later.

26/11/2009

I could see all the wrong things unfolding on that day which made me think ‘what is gonna change in this country where the citizens are back to ‘adjustment behaviour’ on the day when the country was remembering the dreaded 26/11. I am pointing out them in points.

1. Our Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram had set NIA(NATIONAL INVESTIGATIVE AGENCY) and also did much on coordination of the internal and external intelligence agencies. But who brought Headly and Rana to the cover, FBI. What would have happened if they were not caught, cwould have come here and made merry.

2. Maharashtra Government unveilded FORCE ONE COMMANDO doing pertaining skills on the marine drive to assure of Mumbai’s preparedness; but, FORCE ONE COMMANDO even do not have separate land for them and they use Mumbai police’s weapons.

3. The centre had promised of MP5 weapons to the Mumbai Police, but they haven’t arrived.

4. Steps were taken to strengthen the coastal region. But the Gujarat coastline through which the perpetrators came is still porous and do not have enough equipment for monitoring purpose. The longest coastline has just 9 costal police stations with speed boats and wireless sets but no GPS. remember our attackers had GPS systems with them. Just think about other states !!!

5. When the whole nation should show their solidarity, S S Ahluwalia of the BJP made bizarre comments on the role of the media during the attacks.

6. The Parliament should have atleast united on this issue. When Mr. L K Advani made notions about compensations of the affected, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee politicised it. Is this the way to behave on a national issue ?

7. I cannot believe that Leopold Cafe was having a rock concert when they should be actually showing solidarity to the people coming there. Is this the way to remember the nation’s deadliest terror attack ?

8. Recently, I saw the police men and the navy officers hang up their wet clothes on wires put up on THE GATEWAY of INDIA. Such a ridiculous situation!!!

9. Still India is not able to bring the perpetrators in front of justice. Hafiz Sayeed is at large and Pakistanis consider him as a great person who voluntereed for the earth quakes. Kasab is the most secure and protected person in the country(but the citizens are still vulnerable) spending upto 31 crore in the last 12 months.

10. People were pouring on to the streets to show their solidarity. But is this enough ? We should be actually accounting the politicians for their acts and demand swift actions on strenghtening ou internal and external security because these things would last and ensure our security; but, the things like showing solidarity would not last long as who would remember this day even one year later. I think I am doing my bit by writing this and awakening you guys(I definately know that this is not enough….)

What do you guys think about this ? Have we learned our lesson and if not when will we ?

comments are welcome…

26/11 MUMBAI TERROR ATTACKS – one year later……….

26/11 MUMBAI TERROR ATTACKS…………one year later…….has anything changed ?
This was the same day when a lot sufferring and drama unfolded. This was the same day when India was humiliated in front of the whole world by a meagre of ten terrorists that too for a time period of 60 hours. No one in India and even in the world can forget that. So what have we done to withstand such a future attack(specially when LeT terrorists Headly and Rana are caught) and also to bring the perpetators behind this vandal act.
So guys, I am waiting for comments,  debates, clarifications, pionts and suggestions on ” has anything changed and what all we can do”.
For tommorrow, let’s pray for all those who were killed in the deadly attacks and declare a no tolerance policy towards terror…..let our leaders know about it.

SACH KA SAAMNA

SACHIN TENDULKAR was recently asked about Mumbai and Maharashtra. His reply was Mumbai belonged to all the Indians and he is proud to be a Maharashtrian but, he is an INDIAN first.

This is a fitting reply to all those nasty politicians who dwell their politics on sub-nationalism. Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has hit out at him giving a friendly advise in his party’s editorial Saamna. He has advised Sachin to keep out of politics. But, can no Indian(other than politicians) have a word about being Indian.  How did talking about India become politics. How can Bal Thackeray advise Sachin who, is a devout of cricket and India and a thorough gentleman. Look at Mr. Thackeray who has done nothing else but played subnationalism all his life and betrayed Marathi sentiments.

Someone has correctly said ‘ Maharashtra is for Marathis, Kashmir is for Kashmiris, then, where is India for Indians ?‘ This is nothing but a ploy to keep pace with Raj Thackeray’s  which is swiftly eating into Shiv Sena’s vote bank.

Can’t  there  be a stopping to all these kind of politics ? We people get really sick with this breed of politics. Even the serial ‘SACH KA SAAMNA’ is bearable.

comments are welcome………

A CHARMING MAN – NARENDRA MODI

Eh!@##$%^&* must be the reaction from you guys outside Gujarat when you hear about Narendra Modi., but he remains a charming man for me all the lives and for the gujaratis too. The rest of the world has only seen the 2002 gujarat riots side of him. I got a chance to see this charming man much to the ecstasy of my eyes. Mr. Modi had come to AMA for the innauguration of their new auditorium along with the release of a book and Navdeep-AMA centre for entrepreneurship development. he presented himself with an aura which was very infectious.

He started his speech with the auditorium, then the edc and the book and along this way he took the case of gujarat as his dream. He made all of us travel through his dream and taught us to dream bigger. I, for the first time felt that I had seen a visionary. I never felt a 59year old politician-the CM of Gujarat to be such a realistic dreamer. My brother used to tell me that it’s not the CM but his IAS secretaries who chalk out the development projects, but then Ii realised that it needed a man who has the wish and guts to make  it happen.

Then he went to make some excellent relevations of his dreams. He wants to start a RASHTRA RAKSHA UNIVERSITY for training youth to take part in nation serving. Again, he went to talk of his dream of making Gujarat a hub for value-added services. Infact, I found out , at the end of lecture, that this guy has something; he had talked about all his dreams and wishes and it covered almost all the areas sections in the society. I, a 22 year old thinks of a plush job, while, a 59 year old thinks of Vibrant Gujarat.

I realised that I had one of my greatest moment in life and Mr. Modi is a visionary. All the rest about him are bygones. Atlast he asked us to dream about new ideas and conclude it into a plan while he will do the necessary political work to bring it into action.

How can a state worry when it has someone like NARENDRA MODI at it’s helm.

2 STATES : THE STORY OF MY MARRIAGE (COMPLETE REVIEW)

This is the fourth book coming out from the shelves of CB (Chetan Bhagat). This guy has maintained his style of writing into this book. Quite a same story as seen in movies but a different approach and with the fact that both the families are stuffed with the wierdest of characters. I wonder how our hero & heroine came out well (perhaps ! gene mutation)

The story goes as dragging the name of the book into the pages. It’s the story of a boy and a girl and their families. In fact, its the story of two IIMA grads – a Punjabi boy and a Tamilian Brahmin girl and their families include a psycho mother, (straight from rono-dhona, saas-bahu soaps), completely ‘against the humanity’ father and all those fat colourful and fair aunties and uncles of Punjabi clan who give more preference to food and material wealth while checking out the girl’s side. This was the boy’s side.

Now, the girl’s side had an introvert father who never thought of anything else other than The Hindu newspaper and his ‘Bank of Baroda’ office, a wierdo mother who thinks of becoming a carnatic super singer and a nutecrack brother who was born in the world with the purpose of getting into IITs.

The story starts from IIM Mess where they both meet, fall in love and sex, get placements and joins different companies in the same city Chennai. The hero starts his mission of ‘getting liked by his inlaws’ by helping father-in-law on a presentation, taking tuitions for brother and arranging a music concert for mother-in-law.

Now, the heroine comes to Delhi and gets a command over the boy’s family by fixing a broken marriage.

Work half done.

Now, another mission is ‘family liking the other family’ which goes wrong and all hell break loose even to the extent of hero becoming a mini-devdas.

Again ‘the most whacko character’ – find out in story; comes into play and fixes everything.

The story is theek-thaak; It becomes extremely boring and unreadable at some point and after their IIM days, the story drags into a ‘soap opera’.

The whiskers and one-liners relating the Siuth-Indians are rocking and good relief.

Some situations are too out-of-the-box.

Chetan Bhagat has not let down us with his style of writing and those extra masalas into each situation and character. But the story lacks the strength to catch up with CB as the soap doesn’t go well with those going readers. Congrats CB for making an ordinary story into a book. It’s thru ……

Boy loves Girly & vice versa
Boy’s family loves girl & girl.s family loves boy
Boy’s family loves girl’s family & vice versa
Still if boy loves girl & vice versa, they get married.

Finally as a bollywood flick, all ends well with boy and girl getting married and helps in Uniting India.
